My eyes were open to the night, when everything was clear, no shadows, nothing hidden.
I saw the truth as it stared down at me from above, from the sky of stars.
Deep black and sorrowfully lonely, the sky opened over me, to devour my imagination.
I reached out my hand as though to touch my origins.
I blinked back the feeling of being alone and realised I was amoung my kin.
My distant fellows who made me, those who were yet to come by me.
Looking down on me as if to say, “We are here and we see you.”
I shrunk back from the magnitude of it, the vastness, the emptiness, the void.
I shrunk from eternity and from the inevitability of my destiny,
To reach those stars and become one with my creation.
Quiet voices, not heard by mankind, stirred emotive visions in me,
I saw my home and my truth,
I, but a man, yet a man was I.
The living voice of all.
